Blue Jean Backpack

My neice is 10 years old and wanted a backpack for Christmas. My brother is now smaller than this pair of his old jeans. So...I cut off the legs, added ten new belt loops and a strap for each shoulder...bright colored fabric to line the inside and belt the outside...and...my neice has a backpack and her daddy's jeans continue to serve a useful purpose. I just love a "meaningful" ending!
