Household Helps & Hints
Q: |
Honey instead of sugar? |
|
A: |
Use 2/3 cup honey for every one cup of sugar called for. Deduct 3 tablespoons of liquid from the recipe for each cup of honey used. (n/a in yeast breads) In baked goods add 1/2 teaspoon of soda per cup substituted. Reduce oven temperature about 25 degrees and bake a little longer. |
