    | For each # of Ground Beef: 
 1# Ground Beef (Chuck)
 1 Minced Garlic Clove (Large)
 1 Large Onion (Minced)
 1 Small Can of Tomato Paste
 1 Regular Can of Tomato Sauce
 Salt & Pepper
 Italian Seasoning
 Bay Leaf
 1/4 Cup of White Wine
 
 For 8# meat (Large batches taste better
 and can be frozen in plastic containers:
 
 4 Bay Leaves (Break in half)
 1 Tsp Pepper
 2 Tbsp Salt
 2 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
 1 Cup Wine

    | Sauté Onion & Garlic.
Brown the Beef.
Mix everything together and
simmer for 3 hours.
Let sit overnight.
In the morning your kids can play "find the bay leaves."  With 8 pounds of ground beef and the other mush, it can keep them occupied for up to 30 minutes.
I usually make 8 lbs of beef in a huge pot, then pour it into plastic containers, (enough for 2 people), and freeze the mess.  For a quick meal, drown some spaghetti noodles, nuke the sauce, and serve with fresh grated Parmesan cheese.
I also add mushrooms, some dried chives for color, and an old sneaker for humor.  I didn't include them in the recipe because kids won't eat mushrooms and are allergic to any food with a greenish hue.  Some adults have difficulty with the sneaker. |  More
